Wildlife Monitoring System
A Wildlife Monitoring System is designed to detect and track animals near airport runways to prevent wildlife strikes. Using a combination of radar, thermal cameras, and AI, these systems provide real-time alerts to air traffic controllers and ground staff.
FOD-S (Foreign Object Debris - Static)
FOD-S is particularly useful for busy airports, where high frequency of takeoffs and landings prevent vehicle operation from the runway surface. FOD-S comprises of a set of visual sensors, displaced laterally at suitable distances from runway edges and mounted at commensurate heights, while adhering to the OCC (Obstacle Clearance Criteria).
FOD-S Detection
The FOD-S prevents aircraft damage caused by debris ingestion, a major contributor to runway accidents. It is placed away from your runway edges meeting OCC (Obstacle Clearance Criteria) specs and scans for FOD either continuously or periodically, with the visual sensors panning and tilting with preset values to scan a pre-designated zone on the runway and adjacent areas. The detected FODs trigger real-time audio/visual alerts with geotagging, timestamping, and AI-enabled identification.
