FOD-M (Foreign Object Debris Mobile)
Vehicle-mounted FOD-M is a unique and versatile system capable of unrestricted operations across all types of aircraft maneuvering surfaces. It is capable of detecting and identifying FOD objects with geo-tagging, timestamping, and object classification from 10 mm and above.
FOD-M (Foreign Object Debris Mobile)
Mobile FOD helps mitigate aircraft damage caused by Foreign Object Debris (FOD), a significant risk to safe runway operations. The FOD-M system is a vehicle-mounted solution equipped with an array of visual and LiDAR sensors, an onboard operator console, and a system server for automated FOD detection within the Area of Interest (AoI).
With a detection swathe of up to 25 m and an approximate operational speed of up to 25 kmph, Mobile FOD can scan and sanitize a runway measuring 3000 m × 45 m in approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
Detected FOD is automatically displayed on the FOD-M dashboard, enabling operators to visually correlate and verify the identified object before removal. Mobile FOD supports faster response, efficient runway inspections, and enhanced airport safety.
